What is a status page and why is it required ?
There are always new code deployments across the globe happening with the emergence of cloud-reliant businesses
Uptime accountability has shifted from on-premise server teams to the service providers themselves.
SLAs, websites dedicated to downtime have suddenly come to life in the internet age,
and having a status page is now an industry standard.
The status page is basically designed to inform and educate the page visitors and users about system's current health and provide an overall view of the current operational status at any given time.
It is widely used by SaaS companies that need to keep updated their clients and prospects about the current situation on the platform not to lose any precious leads or loyal customers due to chaos or confusion that may occur during outages, incidents, scheduled events, and maintenance events done to check or improve the system.
RIVO Status page
The following features are available in the RIVO STATUS page
- Status page displays the downtime/uptime of the below services with 90 days service history of the product and services involved .
- The service history involved in the application
- Summary and detail of the incidents involved in RIVO application
Let us see in detail :
1.Showing Uptime and Downtime .
Availability of the below services are displayed in the RIVO status page
- RIVO platform
- Development Portal - API
- Email service
- Notification service
Availability refers to the ability of a configuration item or IT service to perform its agreed function when required. It is the expected time the service will be in operation. This is denoted by color Green
Downtime is the amount of time during the agreed service time that the service is not available. This is denoted by color red .
Note : Hovering over the bar , points out the date and the downtime/uptime recorded for the day
Viewing Historical uptime
On click of view Historical uptime , a calendar view of last three months displays the availability of the services.
One can specify the service to be viewed using the dropdown available. The calendar can be changed using the navigation button.
You can always return to the previous status dashboard using "Current status" Icon.
Note: Some issues affecting a small percentage of services may not be reflected here.
2.Past Incidents history list
User can always view the Incident History under "Past Incident " panel. This section details about the incidents raised and involved Post Go live
Eg.
An Incident has been recorded on May 24 , 20XX Named as RIVO -post Go live Stabilization XXX.
It briefs about when the Incident has been scheduled , reasons and the activities behind it ,any incoming updates , the current and completed status.
How to view the incident :
Incidents can be raised and viewed by clicking on the description of the incident.
This will open the Individual Incident page .
Details are as follows:
1. Scheduled: This field describes about the time which has been scheduled to bring down the production environment for maintenance
2. Update: This section displays that a scheduled maintenance is going on
3. In progress and completed: The ongoing progress and the completed status is populated under these two sections
To revert back to the main dashboard, use the Current status link.
