Sometimes, an In-Process transaction may need to be rolled back to the stage from which it was initiated. The action required depends on where the transaction started.
From Issuance In-Process to No Deal/Transaction Exists
Let’s take an Outgoing Guarantee as an example.
After entering all the required details, click Save and Continue, and then return to Home. The transaction will now appear under Issuance In-Process.
If you decide to remove the transaction, open the Context Menu, select Delete, and confirm by clicking Delete.
The transaction will be removed from Issuance In-Process and will return to its original starting point: No Deal/Transaction Exists.
From In-Process Activities Back to Issued
The same simple rollback process applies when an existing Issued guarantee is being amended, claimed, or reduced.
Start with an Outgoing Guarantee in the Issued stage and initiate the required activity:
- Amendment → moves to Amendment In-Process
- New Claim → moves to Claim In-Process
- Reduction → moves to Reduction In-Process
If you decide to cancel an activity that is already in process, open the Context Menu and select the appropriate discard option:
- Discard Amendment
- Discard
- Discard Reduction
Confirm the action by clicking Yes.
The in-process activity will be discarded, and the guarantee will return smoothly to its previous Issued stage.
In a Nutshell
Think of it this way: Delete is used when an issuance has not yet been created, taking it back to No Deal/Transaction Exists. For activities started on an already issued guarantee, the appropriate Discard option cancels the activity and brings the guarantee safely back to Issued.
