Once an Export Collection reaches the appropriate stage, the Remitting Bank or Financier can either record the payment details or reject the collection based on the transaction outcome.

RIVO supports both Pay and Reject actions as part of the Export Collection bank workflow, allowing users to complete the transaction while maintaining clear status tracking and auditability.

Paying an Export Collection

The Pay option becomes available to the Remitting Bank or Financier when the Export Collection reaches a payment-eligible state.

Depending on the workflow, payment can be recorded either:

• directly after Approved, or
• after the collection has been Accepted

Selecting Pay opens the Payment Details flow.

Recording Payment Details

Users can capture the relevant payment information, including the maturity date, payment amounts, payment dates, and any additional amounts received.

The payment flow also allows users to record financial adjustments under Deductions and Additions.

Under Deductions, users can capture items such as bank fees, discount interest, and other deal-specific charges.

Under Additions, users can record interest and other additional charges.

Up to five deduction entries and five additional charge entries can be added when required.

All fields in the Payment Details flow are optional.

Net Amount Paid

RIVO automatically calculates the Net Amount Paid based on the payment information entered by the user.

The calculation includes all amounts received and additions, then subtracts the applicable deductions.

Total Amount Received includes:

• Amount Received Direct
• Amount Received
• Any Additional Amounts Received
• Interest
• Additional Charges

Total Deductions include:

• Remitting Bank Fee
• Collecting Bank Fee
• Discount Interest
• Any additional Deduct Charges

Net Amount Paid = Total Amount Received – Total Deductions

The calculated Net Amount Paid is displayed within the payment flow and stored as part of the Export Collection payment details.

Attachments

Supporting payment documents can be added through the Attachments section.

Users can attach the Export Collection contract/deal or any other relevant payment documentation, keeping the payment information and supporting files together within the same transaction.

Submitting Payment Details

Once the relevant payment information has been entered, users can submit the Payment Details.

After submission:

• the Export Collection moves to the Paid state
• all entered values and the calculated Net Amount Paid are saved
• the Pay option is no longer available
• View Payment becomes available for future reference

This prevents duplicate payment submission while maintaining a clear record of the completed payment.

Viewing Payment Details

After the Export Collection is paid, users can select View Payment to review the submitted information.

The Payment Details are displayed in read-only mode, including payment amounts, dates, deductions, additions, Net Amount Paid, and attachments.

This provides a complete record of the payment while preventing previously submitted information from being changed.

Rejecting an Export Collection

The Reject action is available to the Remitting Bank or Financier when the Export Collection is in:

• Issuance – Approved state
• Accepted state

When the collection is still in Approved state, users may see Accept, Pay, or Reject, allowing them to choose the appropriate next action.

If the collection has already been accepted, users may proceed with Pay or Reject.

Reject Behavior

Selecting Reject and entering the reason moves the Export Collection directly to the Rejected state.

Once rejected:

• no further workflow transitions are available
• no additional payment or acceptance actions can be performed
• the transaction remains in Rejected state as the final outcome

This ensures that a rejected Export Collection is clearly closed and cannot continue through the normal bank processing workflow.

Export Collection Bank Workflow

The available actions depend on the current status of the Export Collection.

Approved → Accept → Pay → Paid

or

Approved → Pay → Paid

If the bank decides not to proceed, the transaction can instead move to:

Approved → Rejected

or

Accepted → Rejected

This allows the Remitting Bank or Financier to manage the Export Collection according to the actual transaction outcome while maintaining a clear and controlled lifecycle in RIVO.
